[...] I’m always leary of upgrading anything, especially an OS. I hardly have enough time to upgrade, let alone troubleshoot or “un-upgrade”. But I was curious and also a bit excited. So, I decided to upgrade my laptop. Shortly after throwing in the disk I was presented with the agreement screen, along with the new looking backdrop.
Thanks for the comment zaf. I play both <a href="http://www.project-entropia.com/" rel="nofollow">project entropia</a>, as well as <a href="http://secondlife.com/ss/?u=b60b59e1d6989eb5765ca2a294c8b428" rel="nofollow">Second Life</a> on this.

With Second Life it does take a little bit of time to paint sometimes. However I think that Second Life is a little more interactive to cause this. Project Entropia works just fine, and so does Medal of Honor Allied Assault.

I would definately recommend the few extra bucks for the video card.

Thanks for your opinions everyone. The problem is i ordered this laptop with 1024 RAM, so i expect it will be fast, but I ordered it with the standard Intel graphics accelarator card. I play a few MMORPGs, will they work on this?

The small port near the USB port (on the right side of the laptop) is not a Mini USB, it's a Firewire port.
Anyway, thanks for the photos and the review...I'm on the process of buying my Inspiron 6000 from Dell's website.

Bye,
Sebastiano

It's just a bit heavier than what I'm used to. (Old Thinkpad 366MHz, 128Ram, DVD, 10GB)I've also adjusted to it since I've had it for a while. Overall, I'm satisified with its weight, considering everything you can actually do with this notebook. I play a few MMORPG's and I was only limited to my desktop, now I can game on this bad boy, wirelessly at that! Very portable, affordable, and it packs good specs.

I just wish for longer battery life.

I was looking at the 9300, but it began creeping me out of the price range. Since this is my first laptop, how do you think the wieght is on this one? I find it handy. I would like to get a case for it. Preferrably a top loader. I can't see laying out the case, unzipping it, and pulling the thing in and out.

I haven't looked at it yet, but I'd like to find some type of lap device. Something that would allow 'mouse-age'. Ive used my lap and sometimes the baby's back. That gets old after 15 minutes.
