Cat 6e – Strange Paper Inside

I ordered some Cat 6e cable and it has this strange paper ‘divider’ inside of it. I’ve never seen this before. I thought the idea of twisted pair was to keep them together?

Anyone have a clue what it’s purpose is?

So that the pairs can be twisted (the spine inside the jacket is twisted) without compromising the twists in the pairs.

Thanks for the comment Terry. I knew there had to be a logical explanation for it. ;-)
